Tips For a Healthy Breakfast

BREAKFAST

Do u know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day? as the name implies BREAK/ FAST, it is assumed that one sleeps throughout the night without food and that is fasting ( fasting means going without food for stipulated time), therefore when you wake, it is necessary to break the fast u observed all through the night.

Heavy meals should not be taken in the morning, as breakfast requires very light meals in order to make you active and ready for the days work. however, fibers, healthy fatty foods and proteins are good for breakfast, as it can increase your energy level, control your blood sugar and help to lighten your mood for the day.

Some people think that the only time they can have a decent meal is when they have lots of money overflowing, while others spend lots of money on fanciful meals that does not meet the nutritional requirement of the body. It is one thing to prepare and eat an adequate diet (foods that are rich in nutrients) and its another thing to eat a balanced diet (i.e meal that contains all the classes of foods in the right proportion) to meet the individual's nutritional need for the day.

Here is a sample of my breakfast combination and arrangement.
  • Shallow fried bread: rich in calories,
  • scrambled eggs with veggies : eggs are rich in proteins and fats while veggies are rich in vitamins and minerals,
  • baked beans: this is rich in calories, carbs, fiber and protein,
  • a cup of beverage : it  contains sugar which is carbohydrate and it also contains lots of vitamins and minerals.
  • And slices of cucumber.

All this can be arranged beautifully to look attractive to the eater as the mouth salivates for what is appealing to the eye. So when next you want to have a breakfast kindly include fibers, low fatty foods and proteins to lighten up your day and don't forget the setting up matters a lot.
